Quanah Parker

Quanah was a sub chief  and a renowned warrior of the Quohada band of Comanches.  He refused to sign the 1867 Medicine Lodge Treaty saying, "Tell the white chiefs that the Quohadas are warriors and will surrender when the blue coats come and whip us."  When they finally did, Quanah was the last chief to give in.
